What is always stored

Only your answer to the analytics question, kept in your browser's local storage under littledoodledesk:consent:v1 together with the date you gave it. It needs no consent of its own: without it we could not respect your choice. It never leaves your browser.

Google Analytics, only if you agree

If you choose “That's fine” in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and books people look at, so we know what to make next. Google then sets its _ga cookies and receives your visit: the pages you open, the address you came from, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics does not store full IP addresses.

We use this for statistics only. Advertising features, personalised ads and Google Signals are switched off, and we do not sell or share the data with anyone else. Google acts as our processor under its data processing terms; the data may be processed in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Detailed visit data is kept for 2 months; after that only totals remain.

If you say no, or never answer, nothing is loaded from Google and no cookie is set. Your answer is asked again after 180 days.

Changed your mind? Cookie settings opens the banner again. Withdrawing stops measurement at once and deletes the Google Analytics cookies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data about you we hold, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting what happened before.
